It’s Snowing Somewhere
Peter Mullenbach
Just because it’s April doesn’t mean snowboarding needs to be
pushed to the back burner. With a recent storm ripping through the Pacific
Northwest April played host to snowboard friendly activities from beginning to
end. Thanks to Pirate Movie Productions, and Airblaster, Seattle University was
able to throw a successful end of the year snowboard premier to celebrate the
recent dump and round out the season.
On April, 15 Seattle University’s Outdoor recreation Department
hosted “It’s Snowing Somewhere,” an end of the year snowboard movie premier.
Sick raffles and handouts greeted the die hards who showed up to watch Jolly
Roger and the Airblaster Movie.
When the lights turned on it was time to stoke the kiddies on some physical product to take home and show their homies. While simple raffle tickets decided the recipients of several smaller goodies, a couple intense rock, paper, scissor competitions pronounced the lucky financially challenged college students with much needed snowboards thanks to Gnu and K2.
A great way to close out the season here in Washington State. Thank you to Pirate Productions and Airblaster for supplying the films and to Airblaster, Capita, Union, Gnu and K2 for allowing the kids to go home happy. Thank you for supporting snowboarding! Airblaster woud like to point out that we find the facial expression on the guy towards the right of this image to be awesome!
