Many places around the country have been having some interesting snow fall. Here in the NW we finally got hit with some good snow after weeks of dry, cold and then raining conditions. Many are excited and hitting the mountain to finally enjoy some pow turns. At the same time I have heard some reports about some of the most unstable snow conditions in years! This video above shows a cool little look into the world of snow safety. If you do any shredding in areas with deep snow(even in bounds) it pays to take a Avalanche awareness course. The worst person in the back country is the person that underestimates things and feels confident conditions are fine. Get out and educate yourself about what you are getting into.
