Whatever the case he was spotted with the Sasquatch sweater so he at least has good fashion sense.

Airbabes take over Mt. Hood and shred at High Cascade Snowboard Camp, session 5. The day starts out with an all girls blastoff clinic with session 5 campers and Airblaster rider Colleen Quigley, HCSC coaches Mercades Nicoll & Sandra Hillen, HCSC office girl Sierra Willet, HCSC counselors Lindsey Haydis & Caroline Onzik, HCSC Unicorn Food Tamer Hannah Fuller, Airblaster Sales Support Manager Eva Hume, & Terra Michilot.

After shooting laser beams and front flipping over mini jumps all day the girls drive to Hood River and back in record time to deliver hundreds of gems to be glued onto airshades for an all girl activity at High Cascade Snowboard Camp. It was quite a marvelous day.

Who is the Best Airblaster sales representative?

Last week the question was how many square feet is the Airblaster World HQ located in Portland OR. The answer is 840 square feet. One thing we learned from this was that most people think Airblaster is some type of mega company. Most guesses where in the 3,000-5,000 foot range. This is large and way bigger then us. In all fairness however many probably do not know that we outsource our warehousing so our main office is just that, an office. There are 5 people that have small work spaces and that is about it. Our product is located in a warehouse in the state of WA. So, I guess if the warehouse was included maybe we would have a space close to 5,000 feet but that is a technicality. The winner for the week was Ryan Reede. I am actually shocked that we had a winner because I figured we would not. I do not know if Ryan just got lucky or was creative and figured it out. Whatever the case who cares, he won and he is awesome! Ryan, send us your address and we will send some prizes.

You know, Airblaster is a Outerwear, Base Layer, Goggle and Accessories company. We are often asked do we sponsor any skiers. The answer right now is NO we do not, we are focused on Snowboarding. However we love skiing and often admit that they are way more bad ass then most snowboarders. Some of the stuff going down in the world of freestyle skiing makes no sense to me, it is nuts. With this said anytime I see skiers rocking Airblaster I am just as open to high five them as I am a snowboarder with our product. Actually if a Ice climber wants to run Airblaster hats off to them. The point here is that Yes we are a Snowboard company but we are a company that produces quality product for anyone that wants to have fun and enjoy the outdoors. It really does not matter to us how you choose to enjoy those outdoors just as long as you are having fun then we hope we can produce the gear you need. Sooooooooo.... this brings me to these sledding videos! They are awesome and fun and I enjoy them and I hope you enjoy them as well. Keep up the good work guys. If you keep sending these in I am going to want to get myself one of these fancy sleds. Tweak!

2010/2011 PRODUCT

Hello friends. We have had a good amount of people asking when the new product will be ready. The answer to this is now...... and until late September. Product is now starting to show up in our warehouse and it being shipped to retail stores around the world. It is also ready for sale on our own Airblaster website. It is not 100% of the product at this time. It will take another couple months for it all to arrive, be checked in and then shipped out to retail stores. This takes time and many hours of work for many people. If you check out our online store as a reference then you will know what is ready and what is not. For example right now all our Street wear items are good to go on our site and that is about it. Over the next couple months each day might bring new product with the major items such as Outerwear coming towards the end. Please stay connected and check the site often if you are looking for something for the coming winter. Thanks again for the support and happy powder!

Last week we did not have a winner. The question was how many people work full time for Airblaster. The correct response was 4. We have a couple other people working for us but they are not 100% full time. Some work more then full time during parts of the year and during others do not. This number of people have changed over the years but the number of full time year round people has been steady at 4 for some time. Many people guessed, 5, 6, 7, 3 and this was very close but not one person nailed the number 4. One person that gets a honorable mention is Mack Powers. Mack guessed 70 people work at Airblaster. Now I am not sure if he was joking, accidentally added a 0 to a guess of 7 or was dead serious that he thought 70 people worked at Airblaster. If he was serious then high five friend, but you are way off. Many times we get people thinking we are a large company with many employees and private jets. This is not true, we are not DC and as far as I know we have no plans to be at that level anytime soon. We are growing but we like who and what we are and will continue making good quality snowboarder designed product for all you snow slashers out there.

Ok people. What you see above is the teaser for the new film from Resourceful Gnome Productions. This is the 5th movie in the Airblaster video library. This season Airblaster and K2 Snowboarding joined forces to bring you Respect Your Elders along with help from great sponsors such as: Nike Snowboarding, Capita, Academy, Snowboard Mag, Winter Park Resort, Clif Bar, Atlas Snowshoes and VAS. This season RGP is putting together a movie like no other. The idea was to keep the Airblaster movie making style we all have come to love and incorporate it with a radical new movie concept. Respect Your Elders is a movie about both Young Bloods and respected Pioneers of the sport. Each section in the video is a trip where a couple Young Bloods go out with a couple Elders to learn the ways of true snowboard jedi's. The mix has made for an amazing video that will show everyone where snowboarding came from and where it is going. Respect Your Elders in my opninion stands to be the most anticipated shred flick for me in some time. After that we moved into a office we shared with a friend that had a screen printing and vegetable oil conversion business. This was located near the Rose Garden in Portland. After that we moved out and did not have an office for about a year. We worked from home in both Portland and Government camp OR. Once we realized that having no official office was not working we moved into an office on 28th and burnside that we shared with Grenade. This worked good but only lasted a year and then Grenade started to have some trouble in their operations and we needed to get out and away from all that. So next was an office down on NW 5th and Couch. This office lasted us about 3 years and ended up being to big. We have since downsized to our current office on 11th and Division in Portland OR. This office is just a little bigger then the room in the basement of Travis's house. We are happy in our spot because it is small and cheap. We realized there is just no need for a large fancy office with open space that just costs money. Soon on the horizon is another possible move into a new office within our current building. If we keep this up we could start running Airblaster office location tours around portland for all our fans.

Where was the first official Airblaster office located?

Last week we kind of did not have a winner. The question was what does the small blue circle on our lenses do? Many people sent in answers that where not wrong. Many people sent in answers that where just taken direct out of our catalog. All of this was not wrong but it was not 100% correct. Or maybe a better way is to say they where not 100% what we where looking for. Almost everyone shared the same answer that the circle allowed Air to pass in and out of the two lenses to avoid fogging. This is correct but we wanted a more detailed answer. The part that was missing is why it is constructed to do this. The answer is for elevation changes. It might not be clear to most but there is a big difference from the air at the bottom of a chairlift and the air at the top of the mountain. Even in these few minuets of elevation gain one can go through a bunch of weather variances. This is what our lenses are built for. The pressure between most goggle lenses built with a inner and outer lens builds up when going up and down the mountain. This is what causes fog in many situations. Yes, your body temp, breathing and other factors cause fog but even those can be related back to the stuff going on between your lens. Our lens has that magic circle that allows for regulation. This then results in no fogging. If you do not believe us try our goggles. They might look simple in design but they function better then anything on the market. Simple look and amazing function is a dream come true in our eyes.

This year our Great Grab Off was a major hit. We got hundreds of emails with tweaks, spins, pokes and more. To be honest we where a little over loaded with the amount of emails. Thanks a million everyone for taking the time to send in some great shots. We spent some time in the Airblaster office looking over all the submissions. The winners are as follows:

#1 - William Davel. This is the image shown above. William takes home the top honors. Great job.
#2 - Emil Eriksson.
#3 - Max Warbington.

Those are the top three winners. We will contact each to congratulate them and send them some prizes. We got a lot of images and it was very hard to narrow it down. These top three winners are picked for many reasons. In the end everyone is a winner and if we could we would send gear out to every person that sent in a submission.

In addition to the top 3 we have some honorable mentions.

#15 - This one made us laugh and we love it. Not sure if Travis does but we do.
#54 and #52. We want to point out that both Shane Bardieu and Robert Durler have some major guts. They both win the TINDY award. We want everyone to take a second and congratulate these two men for sending in, no for having the guts to send in images of them doing tindy's. We love these photos for sure and are excited they sent them in but we also know this took some courage to make happen. Tindy??? oh ya. In all good fun, thanks for the images we love them.
